Wedding favours guests can actually use…and that look great in photos

Wedding favours in 2024, really? I never tell my couples to have wedding favours. They cost a lot of money, often get left at the table and usually are a faff to put together. Guests never remember receiving one, or not receiving one.

So why am I telling you about them now?

My recent bride wanted the bridesmaids to have velvet bows in their hair and really wanted napkin bows. So I suggested combining the two. And it was fab! We tied pink velvet bows for each guest, bought some crocodile clips and placed them into the back of each bow. When they were placed on the table, it created a gorgeous tablescape, as well as something fun for guests to wear. Instantly guests started putting them in their hair, on their ties, shirts, dresses, wherever!

The tables

Each bow was placed on guests’ napkins, with a crocodile clip placed in the back.

All night guests were dancing with bows in their hair and could take them home to continue wearing. My bride was always going to have napkin bows, so by turning them into something for guests to have fun with, ensured they lasted from dinner through to the end of the night. Everyone commented how good it was and I can’t wait for the photos from Jessica Hopwood (far better than my DIY shots!).

I will always recommend The Embroidered Napkin Company to source your napkin bows and these can easily have a crocodile clip added to them (I did this for the bride and groom and it was so cool!).

If you want to know more, you can watch this video to explain how we did it and the impact it had.
